WorkBuddy Tutorial: A Practical AI Agent Workflow for KOL Proposals and Cross-File Analysis

Table of Contents

The real problem is finding evidence fast enough

A client changes direction and your team has an hour to respond. The information you need is scattered across a chat thread, a previous proposal, brand guidelines and a spreadsheet with thousands of KOL records.

‍

An AI agent is software that can break down a task, work through authorised information and return practical outputs—not simply answer a single prompt. WorkBuddy describes a workflow for planning tasks, working with authorised local files and delivering documents, reports and spreadsheets. See Official WorkBuddy Quick Start.

‍

Use a better brief than “Which KOL should we choose?”

Ask the AI to use the most recent campaign data, compare cost per conversion rather than total conversions, account for actual creator fees and brand restrictions, and surface other candidates as suggestions—not decisions.

‍

In the video test, the model compared Sarah and Tom and surfaced Coco as another candidate. The useful outcome was not an automatic answer. It was a more complete shortlist that a human could validate.

‍

The four-step review-ready workflow

1. Confirm the context setting

A context window is the amount of information a model can consider in one task. When several documents and a large spreadsheet are involved, confirm that the selected model and account setting can hold the working material before you begin.

‍

2. Supply both source files and decision rules

Put the client request, previous proposal, brand guideline and KOL spreadsheet in the same authorised workspace. Define the time period, available budget, calculation method and prohibited wording. WorkBuddy’s task guide explains how to select a working directory for a task. See Task Creation Guide.

‍

3. Require evidence, not confidence

A useful draft should show a KOL comparison, cost-per-conversion calculations, budget logic, operational risks and a list of decisions still requiring approval.

‍

4. Verify before anything leaves the business

Check costs, conversion figures, forecasts, price language and delivery commitments against the original files. AI can accelerate the first pass, but it should not become the final approver for customer-facing work. When an agent can access or modify files, use conservative permissions and review the scope of sensitive actions. See Permission Modes.

‍

A low-risk next step for founders

Take a past campaign spreadsheet with sensitive data removed. Add a short brief and ask the AI to identify three decisions that still need your review. If it saves time without weakening quality, you have a workflow worth refining.
